The movie industry is undergoing rapid change, and we never cease to be amazed by the quality of the great films that are being made, both by the major studios and by independent film makers. It’s a great time to be a part of this industry.

At the same time, communications is changing as well. At Cinevation, we recognize the need to be a part of the ongoing conversation about movie production in general and especially film recording and digital intermediates. There are a lot of opinions and meanings out there, about our products, and the industry. We believe that in order to succeed, we need to listen and respond to these opinions.

So, does the world really need another blog? Well, we think so. In fact, we think every company needs a blog, in order to communicate more directly, and quite frankly better, with the interest groups. And that’s exactly what we want to do with this blog.

At Cinevation, we live and breathe movies, and I think our products also enhance the movie production process for our customers. With lower costs for film recording, copies will be available for more independent movie makers than before, which in turn will make more films available to the audience.

This blog will be open to all kinds of feedback, from how we can improve our products, to discussions about the post production industry in general. We’ll try to update at least on a weekly basis, and are looking forward to your feedback.
